Farshad Farahat is an actor and advocate. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a major in political journalism and is currently working on a PhD in conflict resolution. Farshad is a board member of Ploughshares Fund and a member of the National Iranian American Council.
Farshad’s acting credits include Argo, 300, CSI, and Conan, and is currently cast on the NBC series, State of Affairs. In 2013, Farshad released an educational short called Eviolent, exploring the potential of non-violent civil resistance against unchecked authority. In 2010, the Los Angeles Times published his op-ed article on Iranian/American relations and film.
